Hidden in Nature
This is a still I have taken from some filming I did in an over grown garden that I have been working in. This image in its true form in the garden is what first gave me my idea for this film. I watched the swing slowly moving in the gentle breeze, it gave me a feeling of something missing, I imagined a child once sitting in the swing laughing, now just a broken image of what once was. The whole garden was so run down and over grown and I have been slowly uncovering many wonders that once were loved parts of a well used garden but now forgotten. A little like the girl in my film when she moved from the country to the city she forgot about the faeries and they disappeared.

Hidden in Nature
I added the blue faery just for an experiment, although I like this image I feel it is to much to actualy show the true form of a faery.

I realy like these blue images for their transparent wings and tiny little forms, not just a glowing light that I have seen. I have cut them out in photo shop and played around with them inserting them into photos I have taken, changing their colour and adding glowing lights around them. Mainly just using them for my presentation to tell my story board for my film and experimentation.
Hidden in Nature
I Like this image because of the thick setting of bush, and obviously the very effective little faery glows. The actual big faery is a little bit to much for what I will be looking to achieve in my film, but this gives a very good picture of what I like. I can achieve affects like this in after affects or animated in photo shop for my film.

Hiding in Nature
These are good images, and great examples of what sort of effects I like especially because it is set in a bush scene. These lights are subtle enough but still they don't belong here.... What are they??? I have been filming, playing with what natural affects I can acheive, I used a mirror to reflect moving lights into the bush, it looked very similar to this.

Hiding in Nature
I have looked into real encounters with faeries and strange things out of curiosity and found these two images of true findings, mainly to help your belief that there is something out there. Below is a skeleton of a fairy and next to it who would know. I read a few stories of peoples experiences of presences..... mainly in Scotland, I like the idea of "affect" The feeling you get when you become aware of a strange experience. Affect is a non-conscious experience of intensity what we experience, not to be confused with feelings and emotions. I would like to some how this kind of effects in my film.
Personal Project
I've decided to create a short fantasy based film about a child who believes in fairies. Her strong belief crosses over with her imagination confusing the viewer as to what is really happening. Filming in nature and bush settings, with streams and natural sounds of these locations. Then I will animate visual effects into the film work suggesting fairies or an essence of them. I have been collecting images that I like or appeal to me in some way or another. The image to the right caught my attention for the white sparkling lights creating magical feelings. And the image below I like because of the dense bush feeling and the little faery images in the back ground almost blended into the forest.

Personal Project
With this project I would like to realy experiment alot with filming, geting to know my camera, learnig to use it manualy, filming different shots, angels and any other techniques I come across while filming. Then focus on getting to know new programmes like after affects and final cut pro. I have been filming a lot in nature and want to add little animated creatures and effects to create some child like fantsay........... An experience of a childs, that to me feels lost to todays world where children seem to have forgotton how to engage with nature instead they turn to the indoors with technology.....

The photo on the left I like because of the shadows cast by the sun as it was going down and the silhouette of the trees against the bright light. The photo on the right also has great affects caused from the light, like the tree silhouette, and the yachts on the water. Also this photo was a bit different because there was no color, just dark.
